The game is experienced as a split screen, player versus player (PVP), battle session. The core game loop requires players to destroy the enemy ‘tower’ before the enemy advances and destroys their ‘tower.’ Each player forms a unique battle deck of cards represented by pirates, pets, artifacts, and heroes with varying abilities. The first player to destroy the main opposing Rover wins the battle. Proven gaming concepts from tower defense (TD), real time strategy (RTS) and collectible card games work synergistically.
Upgrading characters and artifacts are essential to progress in the game and have a higher win rate during battles. Upgrades are achieved by using the Amethyst and/or Doubloon currencies in the game.
New battle arenas are unlocked as players progress in the game. Arenas will feature new themes, environmental variations, choke points and game mechanics commanding new player strategies.
Match making takes place with players who are playing in the same arena. This ensures player skills and troop classes do not over-power (OP) opponents and keeps the game balanced. Once a new arena is unlocked, players cannot go back to older arenas.
‘Plunder time’ awaits all those who know the secret code in the moment of the final kill. This feature unlocks a jaw dropping, immersive, cinematic in-game experience and yields higher winnings for winning the battle.
As players progress through the game, they will be able to unlock new game modes and features, which will increase the game difficulty and alter player RTS. This will be the highest grossing group of players and need to remain engaged to advance further in the game with:
